Improving social equality and the image of cleaning and hygiene.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, front line staff played a crucial role in keeping communities safe and healthy. This includes healthcare workers, essential workers, and cleaning professionals. 

These individuals worked tirelessly to provide essential services, care for the sick, and maintain public health by keeping spaces clean and disinfected. By doing so, they not only helped to slow the spread of the virus, but also helped to keep society functioning.  However, despite the vital role they played in the global response to the pandemic, many cleaning professionals have not received the recognition and appreciation they deserve, despite the hope that cleaning would be viewed differently post COVID.

This can be done through advocating for better working conditions, fair pay, and benefits for cleaning professionals, and raising awareness about the importance of the cleaning industry.  Social equality is important because it promotes fairness, opportunity, and inclusiveness, and helps to build a stronger and more resilient society. Ultimately, achieving social equality in the cleaning sector requires a concerted effort from employers, workers, and society as a whole to value and respect the contributions of cleaning professionals and to provide them with the support and resources they need to succeed.

Working alongside robots can provide front-line staff with the opportunity to develop new skills that can be added to their resume. These skills may include:

  1. Technical proficiency: Operating and maintaining robots requires a certain level of technical proficiency that staff can learn and showcase on their resume.

By working alongside robots, front-line staff can develop a range of new skills that can be transferable to other areas of their career, making them more attractive to potential employers and potentially opening up new career paths.  

By continuously learning, it also allows workers to stay up-to-date and relevant in their field, gives an increased earning potential and gives improved job satisfaction.
